The musky pillow

So, it's that time of the year again. I get my enough punches on my tanning pass to get a free biospsy on all my new moles, I hijack my wife's blog, and I decide to man up and become a housewife. Cami is off to the white beaches and pomeranian sized mosquitos of Florida while I'm here at home with the kids. Since part of my official (not official) duties in her absence is managing (sabotaging) the blog I thought I would dress it up a little in her absence. Or until she logs in.

The blog name change probably needs a little explanation. When I was younger my parents ran a bed and breakfast inn in North Carolina called Archers Inn (who doesn't want something named after them?). Since inn-keeping (much like bee-keeping or keeping up with the Kardashians) is genetic and extremely painful I thought I'd go ahead and come up with a winning name. What sounds more peaceful or enticing than a musky pillow? I've heard some folks actually say out loud that they don't like the pleasant musk gently waft off of a well-loved pillow. It's only lip service, much like pretty girls saying their farts don't smell. Very sad.

Some readers may be worried that someone may steal my million-dollar inn name. I may not be an expert in law, but I'm pretty sure it's a lot like that Tom Cruise movie where he claims some land just by stabbing a flag into the ground and surviving a frontal attack by a man with an epic moustache. The Musky Pillow is my flag, and anyone with a moustache is already my friend by default so I think I'm covered. Cami should be Nicole Kidman in this scenario but she is NOT on board with my pillow, so it doesn't work out perfectly. By the way while I am staying home with kids I can make reference to any romantic comedies or Tom Cruise films without fear of reprisal. Also, full-disclosure the name of the movie is Far and Away and it's an American jewel.

Certainly there will be more posts before Cami comes home, but tonight nothing seems more important than getting some sleep or updating my Pinterest account.
