Planting

We planted our garden and planted flowers to go in our yard. I let the kids pick out seeds they wanted to plant. Grace picked a watermelon to grow and Cooper picked out broccoli.
We planted carrots seeds and all Cooper wanted to do is throw dirt everywhere, so we might have carrots coming up everywhere in our garden.

This week the kids and I are learning about seeds and how they grow. We read my favorite book ""Planting a Rainbow". It is a tradition that the kids and I do each year planting bulbs in the fall and watching them come up in the spring.
They drew flowers on the chalkboard wall to show the bulbs and the flowers popping up.
Cooper gave me a great gift, he picked flowers off my snowball bush and gave them to me. I put them in a bowl of water to enjoy!!This is his new thing to pick all my flowers. I guess I deserve this because I did the same thing to my mother.

I'm in love with how the chalkboard wall turned out! I can't wait to draw on it...and eat your garden produce! Darling pictures as always.
