Easter

Easter is my favorite time of year.. the world is waking up from the long cruel winter. Spring flowers are popping up everywhere, birds are singing, grass turns a bright green and leafs start poking out and I am reminded of Christ's death and resurrection. Words can't express how grateful I am to him for his sacrifice he made for my family and I on that day. I thank him each day for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of his gospel.

After dinner we sat down and had a Easter tea party and read a beautiful children's book of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The easter egg hunt was a lot of fun minus a few trampled flowers. Who knew that a pinata was part of easter traditions? It was great! It brought the joy of candy and the danger of being beaten by a toddler. T.J. was a little worried because he felt like with kids, a pinata, a bat, and someone recording the event combined would be a self-fulfilling profecy for a violent crotch-shot.
Whitney ended up ripping it apart with her bare hands. We thought we heard her say, "Hulk Smash!" at one point, but that can't be confirmed. In any case she's tough!

Here are a few picture of our Easter feast, we enjoyed some wonderful food. Whitney made me the most beautiful apron, I wore it all day because I love it and was made with love. Also, she made trifle that was too die for. I know I went a little crazy this Easter, but the last four years I have seen life in a very different view with Whitney battling with cancer. There were many days when I was taking care of her, and felt so much fear that I would loose her. I couldn't amagin life without her and growing old together. Life is so precious and each day I try to live like it was my last, enjoy the little things and celebrate each holiday. This is what life is all about celebrating and enjoying being alive and most of all being with the one's we love. Because we never know what tomorrow will hand us.

Here are some of my creations that I made for the Easter season. I made bunnies out of plaster of paris, I had TJ paint them brown to look like chocolate. You know that a man truly loves you when he stays up late to paint his wife's silly bunnies.
