Learning about Thanksgiving

Today was a very cold day with no sun shining, so I pulled out some construction paper and we made Mayflower hats. As a family we watched the movie "Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving" last night. At the end we learned about the pilgrims and their long journey to American in the Mayflower. We read books about the Indians and the Pilgrims feast that started thanksgiving.

This little boy!! He never wants to wear a hat, this is as good as it gets.

One night for family home evening we wrote down on paper leafs what we are thankful for this year. We pull them out of my Mayflower I made( I wanted the Pottery Barn Mayflower, but to pricey). They are fun to read at dinner.

I will always keep this of my babies hand prints to remind me of the day they loved sitting down with mom painting their hands brown to make the Mayflower ships and not thinking their mom is crazy.

Cute projects. Love the hand as ship ideas. I am thankful for this post and your blog so I get to see the babies.

I wondered if that boat was a pottery barn pick up. You did an awesome job. Amazing as always. Your kiddos are so cute.
